Are you growing tired of the same old hamburger recipe which the restaurant has to offer you? The best option is to make your own hamburger at home. This will require minimum effort, save you lots of bucks, and you can use all the ingredients you like.
Ingredients
  • Lean ground beef/chuck - 1 lb. (453g)
  • Burger buns - 6
  • Egg yolk - 1
  • Recommended seasonings:
  • Red or white onion (optional) - ½ or 1
  • Ketchup (optional) - To taste
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional) - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard (optional) - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic clove (optional) - 1
  • Handful of fresh herbs, chopped roughly (optional) - To taste
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Recommended toppings:
  • Thinly sliced tomatoes (optional) - 2
  • Slices of cheese (optional) - 6
  • Lettuce leaves (optional) - 2
  • Ketchup and mayonnaise on the table
Instructions
  1. After buying the meat, you need to grind it.
  2. Place the ground beef in a bowl.
  3. Chop up the onion and garlic.
  4. Add these chopped ingredients to the bowl containing the beef.
  5. Add egg yolk to the bowl.
  6. Season it with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  7. Mix everything together with help of a wooden spoon.
  8. After a few minutes, use your hands to thoroughly combine all these ingredients.
  9. Shape the mixture into balls which should all be roughly the same size.
  10. Slightly press them, and make them flat.
  11. Arrange them on a plate and chill them for almost half hour or more in the refrigerator.
  12. You can use different types of methods for cooking the meat patties, like grilling, frying in a pan, or even baking in the oven - use your method of choice.
  13. While the patties are cooking, you can make the dressing by combining the condiments of your choice - usually, ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauces make a great combination.
  14. Make a healthy dressing using onions and fresh herbs.
  15. Serve the patties with the dressing in the buns and garnish with the toppings of your choice, such as cheese, lettuce, and tomato slices.

    Goes well with:

    Crispy French Fries

Just like they are served in different restaurants, crispy fries are probably the best side order for a hamburger.
