How to Print Photos on a New Printer

If you have recently purchased a new printer, then you should know that apart from taking your documents printed, you can also print your photographs using your new printer. Printing pictures from your printer allows you to save a lot of money. However, the quality of the printed pictures rely on the type of printer you have, the ink you are using and the settings you applied to take out the prints. In the meantime, you will also have to use a good quality photo paper, in order to get your pictures printed with good quality colours.

First of all, you should make sure that you own a colour printer. Otherwise, all the pictures will be in black and white format. So, if you have a colour printer, then connect it with your computer using the connecting cable that came with it.

Insert the printer installation disk in computer’s CD drive, and run the installation wizard. Once the installation is complete, take a test print using printer’s software program.

To take good quality prints, you should use a good quality camera to take pictures. If you plan to take 4x6 or 8x10 prints, then you should have at least a 2 to 3 megapixel camera.

Purchase a high quality photo paper. You should spend some extra dollars in buying high-gloss photo paper, so that you can get your photographs printed in the same way as you get from the market. Also, you will have to use photo ink, instead of using the same ink that you use for printing your documents.
