Get a cloth and clean the scratch
Get a glass cleaner and apply it onto the window. Rub a soft and clean cloth on the window and do it gently. Make sure that you don’t leave any dirt on your window.
Get toothpaste and Baking Soda
The first thing you need to do is to squeeze out a quarter of toothpaste into a clean bowl. After that mix it with a teaspoon of baking soda. After mixing the ingredients thoroughly apply some of the mixture onto the scratch gently. The mixture usually takes around five minutes to work on the scratch.
Buff the scratch
What you need to do right now is to buff the whole area with a clean cloth until the scratch disappears. If nothing happens then apply more mixture and wait for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
Clean the Area
Now spray a class cleaner on the affected area and make sure that you clean it with clean and soft cloth. If you see no satisfactory result after doing this, then proceed with the following alternative option.
Make Jeweller’s Rouge Treatment
Mix a tablespoon of water, glycerine and jeweller’s rouge. Increase the quantity of the mixture if the scratched area is larger. Keep mixing until you see the mixture is uniform.
Apply the mixture on the Scratch
Apply the treatment onto the entire scratch with your finger. Make sure that you rub gently in circular motion otherwise the window might shatter. Give it five minutes for the treatment to take effect.
Clean the Window with a Spray Cleaner
Spray glass cleaner on the scratch and clean it with soft cloth. Now if you don’t see major improvement on your window then you need to repeat the same process until the scratch disappears.
