How to Restart the Explorer Process in Windows 8

    On the home screen of Windows 8 press Ctrl + Shift + Esc. This is a basic step which even the most basic user can do to get the Task Manager up.

    A small dialog box will open on the screen with the title Windows Task Manager. On the lower left side of the box click on the More Details.

    A window with the same title will open up, showing various tabs.  Click on the Processes tab

    Drag your cursor in the lower right direction of the window and you will see the End Task button.

    To change the End task button into a Restart button then you will have to go into the Windows Explorer process.

    Drag your cursor towards the Restart button and click on it.

    In order to close the Windows Task Manager window, drag your cursor on the top left side and click File from the viewed options.
