Flu can cause your high fevers which can result in dehydration. So keep your child hydrated by giving them lots fluid to help reduce Flu symptoms and help them feel better. Your child might not necessarily feel thirsty, so you’ll have to compel them to drink plenty of fluids.
Keep Your Child Rested
Most children can be very proactive even regardless of whatever they might be feeling. But if your child is feeling hot due to the fever, then you’ll have to give them a bath to cool off and wind down before compelling them to take a nap.

If your child has got the Flu then coughing is inevitable. And one of the quickest ways to loosen the cough is by giving your child 2 to 5 ml of honey a few times during the day. Studies have shown that honey is safer and more likely more effective than medicines for children over the age of one.

According to the U.S Drug Administration, it is not advisable for children under the age of 4 to take over-the-counter cold and flu medications. If your child develops a fever from the Flu and is under the age of 4, call their Pediatrician to determine first if you need to give any kind of medication and how much you need to administer.

Make sure the child is well protected from dry air whether hot or cold at all times. A humidifier in your child’s room will keep the air moist and help to break up nasal and chest congestion from the flu.
