Experience the exhibits:
The Queens museum of art has some permanent exhibits which are worth the day. The foremost ones are the craft related to the two world fairs. Another breathtaking feature that the museum is famous for is a panorama of New York City. This panorama was initially built for the 1964 world fair and was refurbish in 1993. It shows all the five boroughs of the city and all the buildings constructed in it before the year 1992. The 9335 square foot architectural jewel is a sight to behold. The lighting changes according to day and night time.
Other famous exhibits at the museum are the Tiffany glass and a map of the New York city water supply scheme. The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass has been there since 1995 and the colours and textures of the exhibit are simply marvellous.
Eat and shop at Queens Museum:
The museum is a complete package. You can eat in the cafe at the second floor of the building. At the entrance and sidewalks of the museum, you will find many vendors selling a wide variety of food.
A souvenir shop inside the museum has interesting small craft items to take home. These items can also make excellent gifts.
