Run warm or cold water and wet your hands well.
Place a generous amount of soap or hand-wash in to the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together quickly in order to create a rich lather. Work the front and back of each hand, making sure to rub them clean. Wash between your fingers as well as under your nails. It is also important to soap up to the wrists for the most effective clean possible.
Note: Lather your hands away from the running water.
Rub and lather your hands for at least 20 seconds. It will ensure that you do a thorough cleaning.
Once the time has elapsed and your area to be covered has, rinse your hands under the warm running water until the hands, nails, fingers and wrists are soap free.
Now, rinse your hands under the warm running water until the hands, nails, fingers, and wrists are soap free.
Turn off the faucet
Once your rinse your hands thoroughly, turn off the faucet with anything other than your hand. This may be your wrist, or with your hand using a paper towel.
Dry your hands
Now, dry your hands with a clean paper towel. If you are in a public bathroom, it is recommended that you use a paper towel to open the door as well. Make sure not to rub your hands hard while wiping them dry.
