Read the article thoroughly:
The first thing you need to do is to read the article thoroughly and record your observations. Make sure that you have not missed even a single passage as it will affect the quality of your critique paper. The best way to cover every angle is to divide the article into different sections and note down all the comments separately.
Place your observations in a sequence:
Next thing you will do is to arrange your observations and comments in a sequence. To do this, you should keep the order of source article in mind and organise your notes with some logic. To make a flow, you should follow the standard format of critique paper. It comprises of five paragraphs, the introduction, three paragraphs of review and one paragraph of the conclusion.
Write the introductory passage:
You should start by writing an introduction. Introduce the author, the article and the basic purpose of this critique paper. Make sure you have provided all the necessary information in these sentences otherwise you will lose the reader’s attention. However, do not disclose everything rather leave the reader wanting more.
Build an argument:
After giving the introduction, you will start building the argument and discuss every point one by one. Remember, you are required to analyse and give your observations. Be objective and give evidences to support your viewpoint. Do not play with words and conclude this portion in minimum sentences. The ideal size of this portion is three paragraphs.
Last but not the least, you should summarise the discussion and give a conclusion. Make sure that you have briefly touched every argument.
Do not drag the conclusion and give a sense of completeness to the piece.
