Take a large cocktail pitcher and place 1 cup of superfine sugar in it.
Gradually add 1 cup of lemon juice and 1 quart and 1 cup water into the pitcher containing sugar. Sir the lemon mixture until the sugar dissolves completely. It is better to use fresh lemon juice to enhance the taste of the drink.
Now, pour the 4 ounces of dark rum and 1 1/2 cups of brandy into the pitcher. Set this pitcher aside at room temperature for approximately half an hour or simply place it in your refrigerator until the interjubilation occurs.
Gently pour the liquor mixture into a pre-chilled cocktail punch bowl and place a cannonball of ice or ice cubes in it. Now, top it with a bottle of chilled Brut champagne.
