Mango Peach Pie Recipe

Pie is a famous continental dish which is normally made of wheat, rice or pastry dough while its outer shell covers the filling of different sweet or savoury ingredients. It sometime defined by their crust. The sweet or savoury ingredient can be filled in the outer layer of crust or in bottom layer. Pies are also prepared in different sizes and vary in multiple servings and occasionally it is served with whipped cream or ice cream on top, or alongside cheddar cheese. Mango Peach Pie is one of the most famous ones in Southern States of US. Mango Peach pie, top-crust pie and two crust pies requires fine baking and makes a sunny treat in winters as well. Meat Pies filled with cheese, steak, steak and kidney, minced beef, or chicken and mushroom are also famous in many countries.

Ingredients:

– 1 refrigerated or frozen pie crust, unbaked
– 2 Peaches 2 Mangoes
– 1 16-oz package frozen, unsweetened sliced peaches, thawed slightly
– 1 large mango, peeled, pitted and cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 2 cups)
– 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
– 1 1/2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
– 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

    First set aside frozen pie crust in room temperature to thaw. Preheat the oven to 400° F and use the baking line with aluminium foil. If you are using a refrigerated pie then transfer to the dough to a pie plate. Wash all the mangos and peaches and set aside.

    Now prepare the ingredients in a large bowl. Peal the mangoes and Peaces. Add peaches, mangoes, sugar and flour and sugar. Combine the peach slices and mangoes with sugar nutmeg. Stir gently as all the ingredients will evenly coated with sugar, spices. Add more quick-cooking tapioca, cinnamon and cardamom.

    Pick another bowl and mix flour with sugar and salt until its get slightly hard. Fill the outer dough with the mixture of mangoes, peaches and distribute evenly.

    Now place the prepared dough onto a baking sheet. Put the pie in preheated oven and start baking about 45 to 50 minutes. The fruit will start to tender slowly. As dough starts to turn golden and slightly thicken, take out the pie and serve.
