Wedding Leave Application to Boss

Weddings are often hectic and sometimes stretched over a couple of days. And if you have to actually participate in the arrangements, or if it is your own wedding, you won’t find time for anything else. Given all this, it’s natural to take time off from work for weddings, but the important thing here is to realize that you need to submit your application to your supervisor or human resource department at the earliest. If you are going to be gone for more than a day or two, you will also need someone to cover for you, and you can’t just leave without a plan.

Tips on Writing a Wedding Leave Application to Boss

You don't need to go into a lot of details regarding the wedding itself.
Be sure to mention all the related dates clearly and double check them.
If you are going to be off for long, you need to delegate your work to a colleague or a teammate.
If the letter is directly addressed to your boss, you might want to invite him/her, depending on your relationship.
