Samsung Galaxy S Iii On Verizon Wireless

The story of Samsung Galaxy S III does not end at the 41 mega pixel camera feature or a possible 2 million dollar loss; Verizon brought another twist in the story. The company has declared to sell a fantastic Smartphone, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – a version of Samsung’s flagship – for Verizon that features an un-lockable bootloader.

This developer edition of GS3 on the famous American mobile carrier Verizon Wireless will be accessible all the way through Samsung’s developer portal.

This feature of un-lockable bootloader is not present in the standard model Galaxy S III.

This news clearly means that the Developer Edition of Galaxy S3 will welcome developers and gadget freaks to install custom ROMs and to trifle around their phones.

Samsung Galaxy S 3 under Verizon is the only phone whose bootloader cannot be unlocked by default. The phone’s owners are allowed to unlock their Galaxy S III phone on T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.

If the phone is directly purchased from the Samsung site it will cost you $600. With the same price tag, a 16 GB off- contract Galaxy S III can be bought from Verizon’s official site as well.

The new Samsung phone will have the CDME and LTE which any Verizon subscriber would demand. But if anything goes wrong you will have to contact Samsung rather than paying a visit at the Verizon Store. In the Samsung Q&A which was shared through an email it is known that if an issue occurs during unlocking the bootloader and installing custom software, then it will not be catered under warranty. It is advised that only professional developers unlock the bootloader of the phone.

The standard un-lockable bootloader is only supported by the Nexus branded device besides Samsung Galaxy S III.

The device can be purchased by visiting this website; developer.samsung.com
