Countries which do not require visa
Nationals of the countries, which do not require a visa, if intended to stay not more than three months by max in Tanzania are as: Rwanda, Hong Kong and All Commonwealth countries except for India, Canada, Great Britain, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Others need to provide following documents in order to obtain the tourist visa of Tanzania.
A completed visa application form.
Two passport size photos.
Photocopy of applicant’s passport along with visa page.
Validity of applicant’s passport should not be less than 6 months at the time of visa issuance.
Applicant should also provide a No objection letter from his or her employer.
Confirmed return or on ward flight tickets.
Diplomatic or Official passport holders should provide a note verbal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or official epistle from the pertinent authority.

Visa fee for all nationalities is Dhs.200 except for USA and Irsih Dhs. 370 (Multiple entry visa-one year).
Note: Applicants belong to the following countries; Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Afghanistan, Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Chad, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Morocco, Niger, Lebanon, Mali, Mauritania, Palestine, Refugees, Stateless Senegal, Somali Land, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Sierra Leone , Somalia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have to pay a non refundable administrative cost of Dhs. 100.
Mode of Payment

Valid (6 months) passport.
The visa section is open between 9:00am to 1:00pm from Sunday to Thursday. So visa applications and documents can be submitted during these hours. Visas issued on same day of application are called express visa and applicants have to pay additional Dhs. 80 for this fast pace visa service.
The processing time period for a normal case is maximum time 48 hours unless the applicant is a national of countries which have to pay non-refundable administrative cost.
