A father is an important figure in a child's life. In most cases, a working father has very few opportunities to enjoy quality time with his children because he is usually away at work. This balance between work and family can be troublesome for many men, especially in today's culture of family units living separately as opposed to in a extended family setup. The modern setup of just mother and father means that the parents must take care of all situation on their own, without the help of uncle,s aunts and grandparents. This can become a dilemma during childbirth because the mother and new born child will both need to be taken care of. In a situation like this a father should take paternity leave so that he can give his full attention to his child and wife.
