The Tequila Sunrise Cocktail looks and taste amazing. The story behind Tequila Sunrise Cocktail says that it was invented by Gene Sulit and was originally served at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, a resort located in Phoenix. This refreshing drink was named for the way it looks after it has been poured into a glass. The unique colour of this drink automatically attracts people. The original Tequila Sunrise consists of tequila, soda water, crème de cassis and limejuice. Later on, an orange juice and grenadine syrup were included to bring variation in the drink. However, Bobby Lazoff and Billy Rice at the Trident restaurant in Sausalito California invented the more popular version in the early 1970s. This recipe makes just one drink and takes approximately 2 minutes. The denser the grenadine, the greater this alcoholic mixed drink will create gradations in colour that mimic a sunrise.
