Ingredients
  • Cups milk -2.5
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Eggs - 2
  • Granulated sugar - ¾ cup
  • Cup raisins - ¾
  • Short-grain rice, such as Arborio - 220g
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Salt - 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. Firstly, you have to add a couple of cups of water to a saucepan and sprinkle one teaspoon of salt to it.
  2. Now, you can add rice to the same saucepan and place it over the stove.
  3. Start cooking the rice on medium heat.
  4. Make sure not to keep the flame very low, as that will make the rice too tender for your liking.
  5. Wait for the water to boil and when it does, reduce the heat of the stove to low.
  6. Furthermore, cover the saucepan with a lid and continue cooking until the water evaporates.
  7. Even if there is some water remaining in the pan, you can separate it from the rice before taking the next step.
  8. Meanwhile, make sure that the oven is preheated at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, so that you can get better baking results.
  9. Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the saucepan and add it to a medium sized bowl, so that you can mix the remaining ingredients.
  10. One by one, you can add all of the remaining ingredients to the rice.
  11. After preparing the mixture, you have to shift it into a baking dish.
  12. Allow the mixture to bake for 60 minutes.
  13. You should keep checking it after every 20 minutes to ensure that everything is fine.
  14. Once the mixture gets a golden texture, you can remove it from the oven and serve it.
