Hash brown casserole is one of the simplest casserole recipes and makes a great dish for the whole family. Simply sauté hash browns with onions and layer them in a casserole with sautéed sausages. Top the casserole with Parmesan and cheddar cheese and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. This recipe is usually served for dinner as the main course dish.

Bulk sausage (mild, hot or sage) - 1 pound
Whole milk - 2¼ cups
Eggs - 8 large
Salt - 1 tsp
Black pepper - ¼ tsp
Freshly grated nutmeg - ¼ tsp
Dijon mustard - 2 tbsp
French or Italian bread (cubed, crusts removed) - 8 cups
