Frozen fruit bars are a perfect way to get rid of hot weather on a summer afternoon. The fruit bars are a delight for children in the summer and can be prepared at home in a matter of an hour. It is a perfectly healthy treat for the young ones because of the healthy combination of fruits and milk.
Ingredients
  • Crushed pineapple: 8 oz
  • Non-fat milk: ½ cup
  • Egg white: 1
  • Sugar: ¼ cup
  • Orange juice: ½ cup
  • Graham cracker crumbs: ⅔ cup
  • Granulated sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons
  • Gingersnap cookies: 10
  • Melted margarine: 2 ½ tablespoon
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, add the graham cracker crumbs and the melted margarine and blend the mixture until everything is perfectly combined.
  2. Make sure the sides of the bowl are cleaned thoroughly in the end so that the mixture has a consistent taste throughout. Now add the mixture into a freezer safe dish and spread evenly on all sides.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the ½ cup of milk, orange juice, egg white and lemon juice together and beat the mixture repeatedly until everything is well combined and dissolved. Now add sugar to the extract and stir the mixture.
  4. Also add the drained pineapple and drain the combination for a few more minutes.
  5. Put the pineapple mixture in the graham cracker crust with a spoon and spread evenly over the crumb layer.
  6. Sprinkle the gingersnap crumbs over the crust and decorate it with in the manner desired.
  7. Add the mixture equally to paper cups and place the cups in the freezer for at least one hour so that the mixture in the cups freeze completely.
  8. The Popsicle sticks or spoons can be added to the cups when the mixture has settled down a bit.
  9. This could take about 45 minutes. When the spoons are places, wait for a further 30 minutes for the fruit bars to freeze inside the cups.
  10. When done turn the cups upside down and remove the fruit bars from the paper cups.
