• Set the mercury thermometer in the saucepan in such a way that its end does not touch the side or bottom of the pan.
• Always wear thick gloves while boiling the mixture in order to protect your hands from heat.
• Make sure to check out the syrup mixture before removing it from the heat. Grab a spoon, add some syrup mixture to it and drop a bit of it into cold water. Now, if the syrup drop separates into brittle threads, it means your mixture is ready. Otherwise, boil it for few more minutes.
• Although you can use any of your apples’ type, but the Granny Smith apples are preferred as they are known for their quality and taste.
• You can replace the red food coloring with the same proportion of any other food coloring that you like.
