– Use a china marker for making marks on the film if desired.
– Before editing, ensure that the takes you chose match your requirements.
– Since there is only faint light present in the room, take breaks at regular intervals. This will ensure accuracy in your editing job.
– When cutting the 16mm film with a splicer, be sure to do it in a spontaneous motion. If you are slow, you will not be able to end up with a clean finish.
– Try not to touch the film with bare fingers. Electrical charges from your body may get onto the film and permanently damage the takes. In such a situation, you would not be left with any other option except discarding the 16mm film.
