First things first, you need to find your Mr or Ms Right.
Once you know who you want to get married to, simply call the county clerk’s office in the state where you want to get married. Remember: There are a few states where you will have to get the marriage licence from the county clerk even if you are getting married in another country.
Take all information and know about the things you will require for a marriage licence. These requirements may include things such as your identification card, blood test and a proof whether you are divorced or not. In case you have been married before then the annulment or death of spouse should also be taken into account.
Get to know how much the marriage licence is going to cost you and pay the price.
Always show up at the clerk’s office with your special someone so that you can acquire your license.
You will need to fill out the forms; do it and pay the fees.
It depends upon the state you are living in whether you will have to wait for a certain amount of days or not. Once those days pass, you can go and get married.
Always choose a date before the license expires. The license expires within 30 to 360 days.
Decide who will help you get married – judge, clergy member, justice of peace, court clerk or a priest.
After you are done, simply sign the certificate after the wedding.
