– If you want to grow the bergamots outdoor in early spring or October, then skip Step 3, Step 4, Step 7, Step 8, Step 9 and place the seeds in the selected and tilted area.
– Make sure to keep at least 60 cm distances between the Bergamot seedlings as they spread in size and get closer together over time.
– Prune down to Bergamot plants to ground level in during autumn or winter season and mulch them well. Wait until new bergamot plants return next spring.
– Deadhead the Bergamot plants frequently in order to prolong their blooming period.
– The bergamot leaves due to their slightly peppery and minty flavor make a perfect substitute for Oregano.
– Bottom heat of the gardening tray or pot will speed germination.
