First of all, make sure you have copied all your contacts to the mobile phone. If the contacts are saved in the SIM card, they will not be available after the replacement.
Transferring them to the device is pretty easy. Just go to the phonebook menu, and choose the ‘Move to Phone’ option after selecting all the contacts.
After finishing with the transfer of contacts, switch off your mobile phone. It is the time to remove the cover in order to expose the battery. Usually, you will find the SIM slot right under the battery. But every phone has a different design. You can read the instruction menu to know the exact location of the SIM card.
Remove the battery to expose the SIM card. Usually, you will find no trouble in lifting out the battery. You can use a flat-head screwdriver poke the battery out. You will see the SIM card right under the battery.
If you are an iPhone user, there is no need to remove the back cover. The iPhone has the SIM slot either on top or on one side of the device. You need a paper clip to eject the SIM.
Slide out the card gently with your finger. You phone may have a little piece of metal holding the card. Use the screwdriver to bring the card out of its jacket.
Now insert the new card, keep the original SIM’s placement in mind. Also place the battery and cover before switching the device on. You are ready to use the new SIM.
