– Make sure that you have inserted the Ethernet cables into the right ports.
– If you want to add more computers then you need to get as many Ethernet cables. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the computer and the other end into the out port of the splitter.
– A router or even a wireless router can work if you do not have an Ethernet cable splitter. This will however only add as much number of computers as the number of ports on the router. For instance, if there are five ports then five computers can work on the same Ethernet line on both wired and wireless routers.
– You may also use a hub that will connect many computers together on one Ethernet line; there will be a single line connecting the router with the hub.
