How to Transform Your Life with Feng Shui

It’s funny how life works sometimes. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be writing this from my new mountain home in Colorado, I don’t think I would have believed them. Nope, moving to Colorado had never crossed my mind. Or had it?

It all began in March 2003, while I was working on a charity project to present backpacks filled with comfort items to Seattle Children’s Hospital. The project involved obtaining donations from individuals and corporate sponsors. Things weren’t moving along as quickly as I needed, so I began using Oil of Abundance; a special blend of Myrrh, Cinnamon Bark, Frankincense, Patchouly, Orange, Clove, Ginger and Spruce. This oil supports a positive aura, encourages feelings of physical and emotional abundance and promotes feelings of vitality and balance.

You can be very creative with your use of Oil of Abundance. You can:

Use a drop or two on your wrist or behind your ears. It smells awesome!

Add a few drops to your shampoo and body wash.

Diffuse it throughout your home or office in an aromatherapy diffuser or light ring.

Place a drop on your telephone if you want an increase in business.

Purchase a perfume mister or glass spray bottle and add a few drops to water. Mist your room or linens, even your
clothes.

I did all of the above because I needed an abundance of money and I received it. Within a matter of days, donations began pouring in. While I had hoped to personally present the backpacks to SCH, there wasn’t enough money in the budget and things weren’t looking too promising. One week before the event, an annoymous donor paid for my trip out to Seattle. Now that’s the power of Abundance Oil!

I’d never seen mountains before and when I laid eyes upon Mt. Ranier, I was absolutely mesmerized by its beauty. While there, I took several pictures of the mountains and uploaded a photo of Mt. Ranier as the background on my computer, not realizing that I was planting the seed for my new home.

Soon after returning home, I began to feel a calling to return to the mountains. While there are no mountains where I lived, my husband and I began looking at homes in the southern part of the state. There were rolling hills and countryside areas there and I desperately needed to escape city living.

For fourteen months we searched for our perfect home, only to be disappointed at the lack of well-kept older homes. We listed our home and began implementing feng shui cures to help us sell quickly, only to be disappointed by a lack of interest, partially caused by a massive construction project that began near our home just weeks after our initial listing.

As one who has practiced feng shui for nearly a decade, I know that sometimes it takes time for feng shui remedies to produce the results I am seeking, but I was getting frustrated and starting to question my feng shui abilities. Over the course of a year I had:

Arranged every piece of furniture and home accessories according to feng shui principles.

Painted the entire interior.

Eliminated clutter and kept the home exceptionally clean (hosting open houses was a motivating factor!).

Hung windchimes at the front and rear doors to help slow down the flow of chi energy.

Redesigned the landscaping at the front and side of the home, planting yellow flowers to attract potential home buyers.

Cleaned or replaced all windows and screens.

Repaired leaky faucets.

Just a few months ago and completely out of the blue (or was it?) my husband received a job offer that was too good to pass up, but involved moving 1200 miles across the country. I’ll admit it was more than a little scary, but once we made the decision to go for it, everything began to fall into place.

We found the perfect house in the perfect location within a matter of days. We received two offers on our home and were able to close the day before we left for Colorado.

Although it took over a year for all of my feng shui remedies to join forces and put me in a place I would have never thought of on my own, I can now appreciate the process. Many life lessons were learned along the way to arriving here and that is the power of feng shui.

The most important thing you can remember when performing your feng shui remedies is to be clear on your intention. If you are hanging a windchime to stimulate your career, invoke the “Three Secret Reinforcements” found in “Feng Shui for Abundant Living.” I have always received what I was seeking (and usually even more!) when using this powerful secret weapon!

I wish you all the best on your life journey and hope I have sparked an interest in this life transforming art called Feng Shui!
