Winnemucca’s Top Three Hotels and Casinos

Welcome to Nevada, the gamblers (fools?) paradise. Well, here’s hoping that you’re very lucky, because hotels and casinos often walk hand in hand in this state, and it can be hard not to test the slots, at the very least. This isn’t just in gambling epicenters like Vegas and Reno. Winnemucca, which is popular overnight stay for road travelers, also has many of these casino hotels. Here are the three most popular. Hey, maybe you’ll even win your next day’s gas money (you’d have to hit the jackpot, with these gas prices.)

Red Lion Inn and Casino Winnemucca
741 Winnemucca Blvd
Winnemucca, NV 89445
Phone (800) RED-LION
Rooms start at $85/night

The hotel features a state of the art casino, which is open 24 hours/day. The casino has the latest slot machines and all the popular casino games. The in-house sports bar also has video poker. If you don’t feel like risking your savings, enjoy the heated pool. The Coffee Garden restaurant is also open 24 hours/day, and offers all American food, and breakfast at any time of the day. Accommodations are luxurious, in standard Red Lion fashion. The rooms are large and clean, and range from singles, to Parlor suites. Non smoking and smoking rooms are available, and every room has cable TV, high speed internet access, maid service, and work space. The hotel is located right off of I-80, which makes it convenient for tired travelers. There are movie theatres nearby, as well as the Humboldt Museum.

Winners Hotel & Casino
185 West Winnemucca Blvd.
Winnemucca, NV 89445
Phone (800)648-4770
Rooms start at $35/night

Well, the rooms are cheap enough, so you can take that extra money and go play the slots, if you’d like. The hotel/casino is centrally located, across the street from the Winnemucca convention center. The rooms are divided into different groups and priced according to their size. All of the rooms are clean, if not a little yesteryear in dÃ?©cor. They come with cable TV, coffee makers, and computer ports, and some have refrigerators and microwaves. The casino is Winnemucca’s largest, with 289 slot machines, live bingo, craps, and roulette games. There are six blackjack tables, and different poker games. The lounge area often features live music, dancing, and karaoke. This is evidently the city’s most popular casino. It seems to be quite a lively place- you might not get much rest, but you’ll probably have a good time.

Quality Inn and Casino
1130 West Winnemucca Blvd.
Winnemucca, NV, 89445

The Quality Inn and Model T Casino are smaller than the other two, but seem to offer the same attractions. The hotel rooms come with cable TV, coffee makers, high speed internet, and air-conditioning. There is truck and RV parking for travelers, and free transportation to the Winnemucca airport. The hotel features a 24 hour coffee shop for meals and caffeine. An outdoor pool is open during the summer. The Model-T casino has all the standard gambling features: 200 slot machines, blackjack, poker, and a sports lounge. The Model T Food court has ice cream and fast food, for all you health nuts. Nearby, you’ll find the Winnemucca Golf Course, movie theatres, and shopping, all within walking distance.
