    The citizens or passport holders of Great Britain and Ireland can apply for visa through embassy or they can get upon arrival in Indonesia. However, the length of stay may not increase beyond 30 days and neither it can’t be transferred.


    Tourist visa from few particular countries would need to be referred to the Immigration Office in Indonesia and therefore, this procedure can take up to 2 months before a decision is made regarding the issuance of visa. See various visas issued on approval.

    Requirements


    Required documents which needed to be submitted to get obtain Indonesian visa are as:


    a)      Provide a passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia. Passport must also have few blank pages for visa stamp or sticker.


    b)      A fully completed visa application form.


    c)       A coloured passport style photo.


    d)      Must be resident of Great Britain with minimum 1 month exceeding the validity of the requested visa.


    e)      Provide travel itinerary (evidence of booking) along with roundtrip tickets or onward journey details.


    f)       Provide confirm booking of hotel.


    g)      Provide a bank statement, which should not be dated less than month and applicant’s balance must be £1,000 at least.


    h)      Provide a letter from applicant’s employer. In case of self employed, provide a confirmation form from the applicant’s accountant or solicitor or bank manager. If the applicant is a student of school, college or university then, he or she must submit a letter of attendance from their academe. “au pair” or domestic help will have to show employer’s passport and submit copy of the said passport along with the letter from employee. All aforementioned letters must confirm the applicant’s compulsion to come back after the trip to Indonesia.


    i)        Provide documented approval from the Immigration Office in Indonesia apply only to applicants that need referral to the Authorities; See various visas issued on approval.

    Visa Fee


    Visa fee for up to sixty days stay in Indonesia is £35.00.

    Mode of Payment


    Visa fee can either be made in postal order or by bank draft which should only be payable to Indonesian Embassy. Payment made by any other mode will not be accepted.


    Note: Visa fee made by any mode is non-refundable under any circumstances.

    Submission


    For secure submission and return of the passport, visa application and documents send them by post by using a Stamp Self Address Special Delivery Envelope. Applicants from Ireland, who send their documents by post, may send an additional £6 in order to cover the cost of registered mail.     Processing Time


    The processing time for a normal case is five to six working days from receipt of application.

    Collect Visa

    Check List


    a)      After getting the visa touirts must again the check the validity of their passport to avoid any trouble upon their arrival in Indonesia.


    b)      Make sure that you are carrying baggage that does not weigh more than the advised limit of your airline.


    c)       Also check the flight timings once again before leaving for airport.


    d)      Having a travel insurance is not a bad idea. It'll cover your baggage and health.


    e)      Do not forget to check that you are taking all neccessary entry permits or papers with you when departing for Indonesia.
