National Cherry Blossom Festival

In 1912, the Mayor of Japan presented the United States with the first two Cherry Blossom trees. They were later planted on the north bank of the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park. Since then, over 3,000 Cherry Blossoms have grown and bloomed, creating a two week Festival so beautiful and worth seeing. There are over 90 events such as the Cherry Blossom Parade and the Japanese Street Festival.
