Disney Cruise – the Ultimate Family Vacation

Every cruise includes a day trip to Disney’s own private island, Castaway Cay. The island is 1,000 acres of beautiful white sands and a ton of fun. Private beaches are available to the adults, teens, and children where there are great activities and things to do. The ship docks right at the beach so when exiting the ship guests walk right on the shore. Some of the activities available to do while on Castaway Cay is swimming, snorkeling, sailing, sea kayaking, parasailing and Banana Boat rides.

There are many areas aboard the ship that are reserved just for the adults offering activities such as dancing, comedy shows, cocktails and much more. There are live bands that play all types of music from the 1950’s through the 1990’s. Both ships offer an awesome entertainment center. The Disney Wonder features a rocking’ piano club called Barrel of Laughs which allows quests to pick their favorite tunes and join in by singing along. The Jazz club aboard the Disney Magic offers a great romantic setting. Each ship had three main themed restaurants as well as the adult only Palo. The Palo serves Northern Italian Dishes. The day trip to Castaway Cay features a private beach called Secluded Serenity Bay where the adults can lay on the beach all day and relax.

There are fantastic activities for the kiddos that are age specific. Mouseketeer training at Disney’s Oceaneer club is available for children ages 3 to 4 years old. The Oceaneer Lab offers exciting fun filled activities for the 5 to 7 year olds. Regatta Races offers the 8 and 9 year olds a ton of fantastic activities that will make them never want to leave. The Science Sorcery offers 10 to 12 year olds great activities and a ton of fun. If you have a little one that is under 3, don’t worry because there is a great nursery available as well. In addition to all the fantastic activities aboard the ship, the day trip to Castaway Cay is dedicated to children’s activities so mom and dad can relax on the beach all day.

Common Grounds on the Disney Wonder and The Stack on board the Disney Magic allow your teenager a place to have the time of their lives as well. There are computers, magazines, music listening centers, a large screen TV and games to keep your teen occupied. This gives them a great place to hang out, dance and meet their peers from all over the world. Castaway Cay offers teens and adventure on the Wild Side that will give them some memories they will never forget.
