Guide to Tasty Desserts in Las Vegas

If you have a sweet tooth like me, there is one question that you ask at the end of every meal: so, what’s for dessert? Especially when you are in Las Vegas, a cool treat at the end of your meal is a novel idea. So, where can you go to get great desserts in Las Vegas? Let’s have a look at several places that serve up delectable desserts on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sugar and Ice is located at the Wynn Las Vegas and has both great gelato and a fantastic setting. With both indoor and outdoor seating, Sugar and Ice is located at the foot of a giant man-made waterfall. Even in the heat of summer, there are outdoor misting stations, so you can sit outside and still stay cool. On a hot day, it is incredibly soothing to sit near a waterfall, hear the water rushing down, and feel a cool mist blown on your skin. Now, picture that while you are eating ice cream, gelato, or a pastry. It is an experience for both your taste buds and your senses.

Ferrara Caf© provides a taste of Little Italy in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. This authentic Italian bakery and caf© serves delicious cannoli, cheesecake, cream puffs, gelato, and fruit tarts. They also offer miniature desserts, so you can sample a few different treats. In addition to dessert, they also make excellent coffee and cappuccino. It is located in the newer section of the Forum Shops, so it is far away from the casino floor.

The Chocolate Swan is located at Mandalay Place, which is a shopping mall located in between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. You can access the Chocolate Swan from either casino. Obviously, the chocolate is the main attraction, but the Chocolate Swan also serves up good cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies. If you crave chocolate, the Chocolate Swan will not disappoint. The Chocolate Swan is a family owned establishment and the owners take great pride in their baking and chocolate making.

Luv-it Frozen Custard is located just off the strip, within walking distance from the Stratosphere, at 505 East Oakley Boulevard. Luv-it Frozen Custard has been a local Las Vegas tradition since 1973 and consistently wins awards for its rich ice cream. They have a walk-up window or you can order your frozen custard to go. Their specialty is a Western sundae, which has hot fudge, hot caramel, and pecans on top of the custard. Luv-it Frozen Custard is open from Tuesday through Saturday, but closed on Sunday and Monday.

There are many more notable dessert places in Las Vegas, but these are my favorites. Also, keep in mind that all good Vegas buffets will offer a wide variety of tasty dessert options. So, the next time you are in the desert, you’ll know where to go to for dessert. Enjoy.
