Sabotage

It seems as if many people get drawn into the game of propaganda. We get frustrated, mad, or feel imperiled somehow and are compelled to blame, accuse, and judge, often without having any facts; and if almost everyone we know seems to be pointing in the same direction, it must be justifiable. Follow the herd right?

It’s interesting that no one has used the word ‘sabotage’. Is it not just as feasible as anything else that one faction simply sabotaged the other’s course of action?

Could it be, that we do not see any of our politicos as single-minded enough, or narrow-minded enough, or morally capable of carrying out something so devious?

Or could it be that in this country, in the here and now, it is unthinkable that some religiously or racially motivated people of good conscience and of civil mind would ever try to undermine a family ‘of color’, or anything associated with them or for any reason?

Or is it that we, in this country and in this day and age, do not allow ourselves to be presumptuous, or suspicious, or influenced and driven, and we do not blame and accuse and judge others?

We are not a society who could ever suspect any of its politicians of committing sabotage for any reason, just as we would never denigrate any of them with labels or negative profiling, and we would never suspect and accuse anyone of being a witch and then burn them.

Would we?
