There are few things in Indianapolis, IN that are absolutely amazing. But I have found one thing that is worth the time to review and visit. One might think that I am speaking of a wonderful museum, or a magnificent zoo that is full of the greatest animals known to human kind. Or possibly an historic monument dedicating an epic battle that was fought in the Civil War, but though all of the above are wonderful in their own unique and special way, they are not what I am speaking of. I am writing about a one of a kind and unique salon and spa located in downtown Indianapolis.
The salon and day spa I am writing about is the famed Studio 2000 Salon located in wonderfully beautiful downtown Indianapolis. This salon is outfitted in a Art Deco style of furnishings and is located on the second floor of Circle Tower. The Circle Tower was designed and built in 1929 by the noted architectural firm of Rubish & Hunter. Ever since its construction, the spa has been the show place of pride of the Circle Tower Building. The salon was in operation as a men’s barbershop from 1929 to 1989. After nearly sixty years of being operation as a men’s barbershop, Linda Williams and Mel Brandenburg acquired the salon space. After their acquisition they updated the building in a salon and spa and reopened the salon in December of 1989 under, the now famous name, Studio 2000.
Studio 2000 Salon and Day Spa has won over seven awards including: Salon of the Year by Modern Salon Magazine, Top Salons by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine, and Preservation Award for Continued Use by Historic Landmarks. So it is no doubt that as a salon and day spa, Studio 2000 is one, if not the best, salon in the greater Indianapolis Metropolitan Area. Some of their spa services include: Massages, Body Treatment, Hydrotherapy Services, Manicure and Pedicure, Waxing and Tinting, Skincare Services, and various other packages.
At the Salon they offer an amazing array of amenities. Every type of Salon Haircut service they offer four levels of haircuts. You can get your haircut from a Designer, which is the cheapest, a Senior Designer, a Master Designer, or an Artistic Director, which is the most expensive. Out of these choices, Studio 2000 offers various other haircuts which include: Women’s Haircut and Style, Men’s Haircut and Style, Shampoo and Blowdry, Shampoo and Set Design, Special Occasion up-do, Bridal up-do, as well as Extensions, Braids and other specialized services. Studio 2000 also offers a wide variety of coloring options which include, Double Process, foil highlights, semi-color/shampoo and set, color lift/shampoo and set. Another amazing service Studio 2000 offers its clients is a Deep Conditioning Treatment for your hair which starts at only $15.
As you can see, Studio 2000 Salon and Day Spa isn’t the same as any other Salon or Day Spa. It has an incredible history, which is evident in each of its unique haircuts.
