You are in the middle of gambling heaven when you go to Las Vegas. With probably hundreds of hotels and casinos all over town you are bound to find one that suits your style. The Strip (the main tourist drag) is filled with casinos that most people have probably heard of in pop culture circles. Bellagio, The Venetian, The Paris, Luxor, Circus Circus, Bally’s, Mandalay Bay and New York New York are just a few of the many famous casinos sitting on the Strip.

For the Thanksgiving holiday most if not all of these hotels/casinos will be having special Thanksgiving meals varying in price and selection.

Aside from the food, for sports fans Thanksgiving is cause for another celebration. The celebration of American football. And of course Las Vegas will be celebrating with you! New York New York hotel and casino boasts ESPN SportsZone, a two-story 33,000 square foot “mecca” for sporting fans alike. To make things more like home the ESPN SportsZone has 11 “Zone Thrones” which are leather reclining chairs with speakers in the headrests and along the sides are tray tables. Surrounded by two 14-foot televisions with 12 36-inch tv screens around that.

I hear there are even television screens in every bathroom stall at the ESPN SportsZone so that you don’t miss even one minute of the game just because you have to go to the restroom.

Other Things:

The weather in Las Vegas around Thanksgiving averages a high of 66 and a low of 44. So with mild days and chilly nights it is recommended that you bring some long sleeve shirts and jackets for maximum comfort as you travel the city.

As far as transportation, Thanksgiving is usually a very busy time for the city so plan your travel not only too Vegas but around the city ahead of time. Check rates often and familiarize yourself with where you will be staying and what other hotels/casinos you want to visit. Taxis, The Strip trolley, 4 monorails, public buses, shuttles, and limos are a few examples that can be found in Las Vegas.

No matter what you do, where you go, and who you see in Las Vegas this Thanksgiving holiday, the city will be sure to please everyone in your group.
