Whale Watching Locations

Whale watching is a great family activity that everyone will enjoy. One place to go whale watching is along the Oregon coast. Whale Watching Spoken Here is a volunteer whale watching program during peak gray whale migration times coinciding with winter and spring breaks, recently dubbed a “migration-vacation” connection. They have trained volunteers stationed at all of the twenty eight locations near the coast.

They provide information to tourist and assist in spotting whales from 10:00am until 1:00pm. The whales tend to spend a large amount of time near the coast during the summer and winter months. For those who would like to try whale watching year round, there are several locations that you can try. They are the Washington and California coastlines. Along these locations there are many charter boat services. The fees are pretty reasonable, and when you are on the boat you can get a much better and closer experience with the gray whales.
