Chickpea and Pepper Salad Recipe

Chickpea and pepper salad is a quick-to-make yet delectable dish and is an all time favorite. It can be taken as a side dish but since it is full of nutrients so it can also be served as a full meal together with pita bread slices.

There can be thousands of ways to prepare this awesome salad and many of us like to make it super spicy by adding more and more spices in it together with the richness of different colorful ingredients.

To prepare it, it is always suggested to soak the chickpeas beforehand – that is, probably a night before so that they get cooked easily.

So if are in the mood for some spicy dish then chickpea and pepper salad is the best thing to eat. It’s healthy, nutritious and full of taste!

– 1 pound Chickpeas (finally soaked and boiled)
– 1 cup Red Onion Rings
– 6-7 Red and Green Peppers
– 1/2 bunch Coriander
– 1/2 bunch Mint
– 1 bunch Parsley
– 2 Tomatoes
– ½ cup Lime Juice
– Salt (To taste)
– Grounded Black Pepper (To taste)
– Grounded Red Chilly (To taste)

    Before getting started, it is important to make sure that all the vegetables are fresh so you get the best taste out of them.

    Firstly, take the green and red peppers and do away with the seeds and chop them into rings. Also take the tomatoes and chop them gently into small cubes.

    Now take a large serving bowl and add chick peas, red onion rings, parsley, mint, coriander, red and green peppers, chopped tomatoes in it.

    After that, add the stated amount of lime juice in the bowl and mix well.

    In the end, spice it up by adding salt, grounded black pepper and red chilly to taste. The salad is ready to be served.
