Place your cocktail glasses in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the drink. A chilled glass makes the drink all the more enjoyable.
Fill your cocktail shakes halfway with ice. Wash the lemons and squeeze them in a bowl for extracting the lemon juice. You can save the skin to cut twists for the garnish. Now top the shaker with cranberry and blueberry juice, vodka and the lemon juice.
Shake the ingredients well together so that they combine to produce an even taste. You can increase the quantity of the lemon juice if you want more of the tangy flavour. If you are using a citrus vodka, you can skip the lemon juice to avoid over-doing it.
Take out the cocktail glasses from the refrigerator. Use a sharp knife to cut thin lemon twists. These twists will look amazingly colourful floating on the drink. Try to make thin but long twists. Deposit one twist in the base of each glass. Now pour over the cosmopolitan into the glass.
Fresh cranberries will add a touch of festivity to the drink. Weave cranberries on a cocktail pick and stick it to the side of the glass, just like you skew olives for a martini. You never know the guests might just help themselves to the fruit. Serve the drink chilled for the best taste and your guests are surely going to love it.
