How To Make Chrissie’s Biscuits

Most women look for recipes that can be served as dinner or lunch. They are usually unaware of what to serve their family with tea. There are a lot of snacks available in the market, but they are costly as well as unhealthy. So, there should be a solution, which suits everyone in the family.

Baking cookies is common with tea, and it is also fun to make, and people of all ages love to consume them. Although there are different kinds available in the market, but baking cookies at home are cheap and you can always experiment by adding ingredients of your own choice, while cooking something at home.

Chrissie’s biscuits are quite easy to make and they are really delicious. They can be baked in very little time and can be eaten with tea or coffee during the day.

Utensils: Medium bowl, Large bowl, Mixing spoon, Measuring cups and spoons, Cookie or baking sheet, Spatula, Wax paper (optional), Cooling rack (optional),Mixer or whisk, Oven mitts or gloves

Ingredients:
Flour (280 g): 2 1/4 cups
Salt (4.7 g): 1 teaspoon
Baking soda (2.3 g): 1 teaspoon
Butter, softened but not melted (2 standard American sticks / 800 g): 1 cup
You can use sunflower oil as a substitute
Packed brown sugar (165 g): 3/4 cup
Granulated sugar (150 g): 3/4 cup
Eggs: 2 large
Vanilla extract (5 ml): 1 teaspoon
Chocolate chips (168 to 336 g): 1 to 2 cups
Toffee sticks or white chocolate

    Preheat the oven

    Whenever you have to bake something, it is important to preheat the oven. However, the heat level is dependent on what you are about to bake in it. In this case, you are supposed to keep it to 190 degrees Celsius.

    Mix flour, salt and baking soda

    Take a medium sized bowl and make sure it is completely dry. Add flour, baking soda and salt to it and mix them together with a spoon or using hands.

    Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs together

    Now, beat all the other ingredients in a large bowl and make sure they form a thick paste. Once you get that, add the chocolate chips and shape the cookies.

    Bake the biscuits

    Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes and allow them to cool down. Once they become crispy, serve them to your family.
