How to Make Turkey Meatballs with Pasta

Turkey meatballs with pasta are one of the most delicious cuisines. They can be served in family gatherings or any other functions. Furthermore, they are very healthy as they are low in fats.

Ingredients:
Olive (not virgin) oil: 1 tbsp
Water: 3/4 c
Chopped fresh parsley – divided use: 1/2 c
Sugar: 1 tbsp
Dried oregano: 1 tsp
Bay leaves: 2
Diced onion: 1 c
Mushrooms: 1 c sliced
Diced green bell pepper: 1/4 c
Crushed garlic cloves – divided use: 8
Dry red wine: 3/4 c
Whole tomatoes un-drained and chopped: 1 28-oz can
Tomato paste: 1 6-oz can
Dried basil: 1 tsp
Dried, crushed rosemary: 1/2 tsp
Pepper: 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1/4 tsp
Ground turkey: 1 1/2 lb
Dry bread crumbs: 1/2 c
Coarsely shredded zucchini: 1/4 c
Egg white: 1 large
Dried pasta: 1 lb
Parmesan cheese: 1/2 c
Finely chopped green onions: 1/3 c
Coarsely shredded carrot: 1/4 c

Instructions

    Take a large saucepan and heat oil in it on medium heat. Then, add onions, bell pepper, mushrooms and crushed cloves of garlic. Cook them for around 5 minutes.

    Now, add the wine, water and ΒΌ cup of parsley, basil, oregano, sugar, rosemary, pepper, salt, bay leaves, tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Then, put the mixture on the stove and cover the pan. Cook it on medium heat for 30 minutes. You will have to stir it intermittently.

    After that, preheat the oven to around 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Mix the turkey, parmesan cheese, green onion, breadcrumbs, zucchini, parsley (remaining), salt, pepper, egg white and garlic cloves in a bowl.

    Now, you have to make the meatballs of the turkey mixture. After making the balls, place them on a broiler pan after coating it with some cooking spray.

    You will have to bake the meatballs for around 15 minutes (until they become brown).

    Meanwhile, make pasta and drain pasta in different bowls. Then, stir the baked meatballs into the cooked tomato sauce and place them evenly into the bowls containing pasta.
