Before doing anything else take a few minutes to thoroughly wash your hands and the work surface that you will be using to make this exciting drink. Also, make sure to wash or clean all the utensils, glasses and other items that you will using to put together this recipe. It is always a good idea to keep your work area clean while preparing food items.
First of all, garnish your martini glass and place it in refrigerator until it chills thoroughly. For garnishing purpose, dip the rim of the martini glass in the white Crème de Cacao or the vodka and finally into the cocoa powder. Now, frost the rim of the martini glass properly and put it into refrigerator until it is properly chilled.
Meanwhile, place one cup of the cracked ice in the cocktail shaker. Remember it is up to you as to how much ice you use in this recipe as too much can make the entire mixture watery.
Combine 60 ml of Vodka, 15 ml of dry vermouth, 15 ml of white Crème de Menthe and 30 ml of white Crème de Cacao in the cocktail shaker containing crushed ice. If you prefer to have a lighter cocktail then you can always reduce the amount of vodka that you use for this particular recipe. This will not make a significant different to the overall taste or flavour of this cocktail.
Now cover your cocktail shaker completely and shake it vigorously for few seconds until all the ingredients of the cocktail mix properly. You will want a nice smooth texture to the mixture so be sure to check the consistency while shaking.
Take out the martini glass from the refrigerator and strain the Chocolate Mint Martini into it.
Place a fresh Mint Sprig at the top of your drink and serve. It is entirely up to you as to how you want to garnish and serve this drink to your friends and family.
