- Cake mix
- Frosting
- Chocolate for melting

Bake your favorite cake
Grab a rectangular sheet pan and bake your favorite cake the way you usually make it. You can make any flavor that you enjoy most, like you can make chocolate, strawberry, blackberry cake etc.
Allow your cake to cool properly
Once you make the cake, set it at room temperature for a while until slightly warm.
Note: 10 to 15 minutes are enough if you place it in refrigerator.
Crumble the cake
Take a medium or large mixing bowl according to your need and crumble the cake into fine crumbs with either your hands or spoon. Other than that, you can use a food processor or a hand mixer in order to get a finer texture of the crumbs.
Add in a flavor of frosting that you like
It is the time to mix in your frosting to make a paste of the cake crumbs. It is simple to make as you just have to add in any of your favorite frosting, which are available in the market in various flavors of cans.
Mix the frosting and crumbs until it forms dough
Now use either your hands or spoon to mix the frosting and crumbs until there is no part of the cake crumb mixture without frosting.
Place the cake mixture in refrigerator
Now, place the cake dough / mixture in your refrigerator for a few hours or until chilled well.
Roll out the balls
Remove the cake mixture from the refrigerator and roll out the balls with a cookie scooper or your hands.
Note: It is better to use a scoop for uniform sizing of the cake balls.
Place the cake balls in the cookies sheet
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or grab a plastic container and place the cake balls in it in a row.
Place them in refrigerator
Place the sheet in refrigerator for approximately 2 hours or until chilled completely.
Prepare a chocolate mixture for dipping
In the meantime, prepare a chocolate mixture for the dipping of the cake balls. Place a chocolate bar in a sauce pan and pour in some water. Now, set it in the microwave or in a double boiler on the stove over low heat and wait until it starts boiling. Now, stir the chocolate mixture constantly until smooth. Set it aside until light warm.
Dip the cake balls in chocolate
Now, take a large spoon, place one cake ball in it and carefully dip it into the tempered chocolate.
Note: Make sure to allow excess coating of chocolate to drip away while dipping the cake balls.
Place the cake balls on wax paper
Set the chocolate covered cake ball on a wax paper. Now, repeat the same procedure with rest of the cake balls.
Note: Always use a wax sheet as the melted chocolate coat on the cake balls does not stick to the cake pan.

Set the chocolate coated cake balls aside until dried properly or place them in a refrigerator before serving them. Now, decorate your cake balls in various ways according to your choice.
