A Review of the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment

For all of you foodies out there you have to try the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment. This attaches to any KitchenAid Mixer. The KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment includes five pasta maker plates, food grinder, slicer, shredder, hardwood stomper, and wrench. This is an all in one package of attachments for any KitchenAid mixer.

The food grinder in the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment allows you to grind meat, vegetables, dried fruit, and even dried bread. The slicer and shredder allow you to quickly slice or shred even the firmest of vegetables, fruits, and cheeses. The pasta maker plates work in conjunction with the grinder attachment to allow you to make spaghetti, macaroni, lasagna, and flat noodles with your KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment. It also comes with bowl clips and a cleaning tool.

Although not sold in the box with the rest of the attachments, my favorite feature is the magnetic pull that the mechanical attachments in the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment have on my spouse. He is drawn into the kitchen and even wants to help make dinner. It is like having a great sous chef who can’t get enough of chopping, shredding, and preparing all the ingredients I need for dinner.

My favorite packaged feature of the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment is the pasta maker plates. They are the whole reason I wanted this addition to my KitchenAid mixer. KitchenAid historically made their mixers to be a one stop shopping appliance for every kitchen. They wanted to create one appliance that would accomplish all of the food tasks in a functional kitchen. A love of Italian food and pasta lead me to want to try and make my own pasta. Although it seemed a little daunting at first, the KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment really did make making pasta an easy and quick task that has involved my entire family. Although I do have my own recipes for fresh pasta a recipe book does come with the attachments. I love to make fresh spaghetti with the pasta plates. You can make angel hair pasta or regular sized spaghetti. A word of warning though, do not put any of your KitchenAid Attachment Pack with Pasta Attachment through the dishwasher. You should use the cleaning tool provided. Water will cause rust to form on your attachments and ruin them. The instruction booklet provides tips for cleaning, detailed instructions on each attachment, as well as lists of other available attachments to your KitchenAid mixer.
