Halloween is a celebration where you go around the neighborhood dressed as your favorite monster, collecting candy from your neighbors. However, there are many alternative ways to celebrate Halloween. Central Florida accommodates both children and the child at heart in all of us with theme parks ready to celebrate the fun of Halloween along with you.

Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party is a great place where the guests are welcomed to dress as your favorite ghoul or beautiful princess to join Mickey and friends for a friendly scary bash at the Magic Kingdom. It features parades, storytelling, and trick or treating around the park. A dazzling fireworks display ends the evening. New this year is a spectacular Halloween-themed fireworks display called Hallow-wishes, featuring spooky music from family-friendly Disney attractions and movies including Haunted Mansion, and the nightmare before Christmas.

Sea World adventure park Halloween spectacular is another kid-friendly, fun-filled family experience with a festive fall feeling that sweeps through the theme park during a ghoulish good weekend of trick or treating, children’s costumes parade’s and some harmless spookiness. Pirate’s dinner adventure buccaneer is a great place to go to eat dinner after a night out at the parks. It provides guests with haunted houses, spooky ghost stories, costume contests, and monster dance party all aboard a real looking pirate ship stage. Admission is free at children’s trick or treat at CityWalk, each shop distributes Halloween candy for the little monsters in your family Halloween night.

Adults can also get in with the fun with Halloween Horror Nights XVI at Universal Orlando. The largest and most terrifying of all of Orlando’s Halloween bashes. The haunted houses are specially made to play on your worst childhood fears. Guests are immediately immersed into a nightmarish environment with chainsaw wielding maniacs, and flesh eating zombies who roam free in the dark. Haunted mazes are filled with an interpretation of vampire experiences, encounters with the walking undead, and prisons gone wrong. Halloween parades, and hundreds of scare actors strategically placed in newly themed scare zones.

In Terror Mines guests descend into a pitch-black mineshaft where you travel through a maze of unseen monsters in the mine disaster. Cold Blind Terror is a numbingly cold haunted house where you hear strange sounds all around you. The School is where the children of the body collectors are let loose in the dark house with you. Blood Ruins is a medieval village haunted house that has been ravaged with the plague. If you are not fast enough you could be a meal for the defrocked monks in the ruins of blood abbey. The Demon Cantina is a biker bar from hell, and is the home of the vicious bone chopper of iron-bone gorge. Where Evil Hides is where guests play a scary game of hide and seek with skeletons and the walking dead that dwell in dark passages. Adults only. Situations are too intense for children.
