Dishwasher Product Review – LG EasyRack Plus Dishwasher and Samsung DMT800 Dishwasher

Finding a dishwasher is just like getting another appliance. If you don’t do your homework first, then a salesperson could sell you just about anything and it may not be what you need. We are going to compare two models: the LG EasyRack Plus and the Samsung DMT800. Both are reputable names in appliances and electronics.

LG EasyRack Plus

Pros: If you are going to spend the money for a dishwasher, you want it to have features that fit your family needs. This model has a stainless steel exterior (you can choose black or white also) that is easy to clean with a bar handle for ease of opening and closing your unit. It can hold up to 14 place settings in a full load. The two racks are adjustable.

This means that you can adjust the times and the racks to fit the needs of the items you are cleaning. The basket for utensils is also adjustable to accommodate less silverware and more dishes. The control panel is on the top of the door and is a touch design.

Cons: This model doesn’t contain a heated dry option. While drying without heat uses less energy it does leave spots on dishes, especially glasses that will need to be wiped off before being put away.

Samsung DMT800

Pros: This dishwasher has a stainless steel exterior (also comes in black and white) for easy cleaning with a bar handle for easy loading and unloading. It can easily accommodate 14 place settings. There are two racks for your dishes and it comes with 8 cycles including: normal, heavy, delicate, pots and pans, quick cycle and smart auto cycle.

The StormWash technology uses powerful water jets to clean and sanitize your dishes. The intuitive sensors of the smart auto cycle detect the amount of soil on the dishes and will adjust the cycle accordingly. The controls are touch sensitive and found on top of the door. There is even a little window to show you which part of the cycle is currently running.

Cons: This dishwasher doesn’t have a rinse only cycle or an air dry option. Air dry is more eco-friendly and it uses less energy.

Will either one of these models become your next dishwasher?
