Top Ten Kenny Chesney Songs

Kenny Chesney played a great many bars and festivals before heading to Nashville in 1991. Once he arrived in Nashville like most country music stars, Kenny waited for his big break. His big break came when RCA bought the masters to a previous album that Kenny Chesney had recorded with a record company that had closed up in the Nashville area. Ever since 1994 Kenny Chesney has been recording hit records and songs that have made number ones on the country chart. Kenny was also made famous through his tabloid actions which have included riding a police officers horse and a marriage that was soon annuled to Renee Zellweger. Here are my 10 favorite songs by Kenny Chesney in no particular order.

1. When The Sun Goes Down – A great duet that is song with Uncle Kracker. It is just a nice beachy type song. It brings anticipation to what a great summer night night holds in store.

2. You Had Me From Hello – This song was inspired by Renee Zellweger in the movie Jerry Maguire. I have heard this played at alot of weddings in the recent years. This is a great ballad with very moving lyrics. The songs title also makes as a great cheesy pick up line.

3. There Goes My Life- A nice ballad about a man dealing with fatherhood and the impact that is has on him. I have also heard this song latley at alot of wedding receptions as the father and daughter dance.

4. She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy- This is just a overall fun song. The lyrics are fun to sing with. The song does carry a certain cheese factor to it. This song is played alot during FFA week at the local high school here in town on the day that the kids drive their tractors to school.

5. Anything But Mine – Nice moving ballad about a boy and his summer love with his best girl friend. The lyrics take you back to those summers past and the fun summer crushes that always seem to accompany them.

6. All I Need To Know- This was one of Kenny Chesney’s first songs that received a ton of radio play. A nice moving ballad. The lyrics are well written.

7. Fall In Love – A nice upbeat tune with a man watching as a couple emerges froma church. It is a overall feel good song.

8. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems – This song truly depicts my image of Kenny Chesney. The video yet confirms my theory as he is wearing no shoes and his cowboy hat. Great upbeat music with almost a carribean sound.

9. Young- A song that speaks about a man looking back on his youth and wishing he could relive those days. This song is easily to relate to as we all of those memories that come back and bring a smile to our face as we think of the antics of your youth. The lyrics to this song are very well written and descriptive.

10. That’s Why I’m Here – This is one of my favorite songs that Kenny Chesney has recorded to date. It tell the tale of a man dealing with his alcoholism and beginning the recovery process by attending AA meetings. This song has become almost a theme for most AA dances and is played at every one that I have ever attended. Very powerful lyrics.
