Berry Salad with Passion Fruit Recipe

This colorful berry salad delight together with the sweet-smelling yellow and flavorful passion fruit is a great treat during the summer. The passion fruit and berries can be easily bought from the markets as fresh fruits or even during the off seasons in the form of canned fruits, so choose any one type or all types of berries ranging from the blackberries, blueberries, strawberries to raspberries and get the ever refreshing taste in just no time.

Moreover, due to the nutritious content, this salad is very good for health especially for those who have high blood pressure as this salad has got all those nutrients that can bring down high blood pressure to normal levels.

– 1 cup Strawberries
– 1 cup Raspberries
– 1 cup Blueberries
– 1 cup Blackberries
– ½ cup Blackcurrants
– ½ cup Redcurrants
– 3 Passion Fruits
– Caster Sugar (To Taste)
– ½ cup Lemon Juice

    Before getting started make sure that all the fruits and utensils are properly washed. You will also want to thoroughly wash your hands and the entire work surface that you plan to use while making this salad. Always make it a habit to keep everything clean while preparing any type of food items.

    First of all take the blackcurrants and redcurrants, remove their stems and put them aside. Be careful that you do not squash all the blackcurrants or redcurrants while removing the stems.

    Now take the passion fruits and half it and together with a sieve hold them over the serving bowl and mash the juice with the help of a fork leaving behind the seeds. Be careful when cutting the passion fruit in half. While using the sieve make sure that you are firmly holding the passion fruit so that it does not slip and fall out of your hands.

    Now that you are done with the passion fruit, it is time to add all the blueberries, blackberries, red berries, strawberries, blackcurrants and the redcurrants in the bowl.

    Also add lime juice and sugar to taste and toss well until it gets mixed completely. Make sure that you mix everything together properly.

    Refrigerate it for about half an hour and then serve. It is entirely up to you as to how  you want to serve this delicious salad to your guests.
