Blue Cheese and Apple Salad Recipe

Blue Cheese and Apple Salad is simply an amazing tasting dish that is perfect to be served in both the summer and winter. The creamy and filling dressing really adds to the flavor of the salad.

The Blue Cheese and Apple Salad is a perfect choice for the people with busy working schedule or the ones who do not have experience in handling the stove or cooking equipment. Making this salad is just a matter for a few minutes where you just have to mix the ingredients. It is better to dish it up chilled, so make sure to prepare it few hours ahead of serving and place in refrigerator for some time.

– 3 medium unpeeled red apples – finely cubed
– 2 teaspoons lemon juice
– 3 cups cantaloupe cubes or balls
– 2 cups sliced celery
– ½ cup sour cream
– ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
– 1/3 cup whip cream – Miracle Whip is preferred
– Fresh Lettuce leaves

    Place the unpeeled red apple slices in a large serving bowl.

    Pour in the lemon juice and toss the apple slices with a fork until coated well.

    Add in the cantaloupe cubes or balls and the finely chopped celery. Mix the ingredients for few seconds and set bowl aside.

    Take another small bowl and add in the sour cream, whip cream and the blue cheese. Stir these ingredients until merge well and forms a thick dressing.

    Now, drizzle this dressing over the apple mixture in the bowl. Grab a large fork or spoon and whisk all the ingredients of the salad until incorporate well, forming a nicely mixed up salad.

    Cover the bowl of the Blue Cheese and Apple Salad with a plastic wrapping sheet and place them in refrigerator for about one hour before serving.
