Observe your emotions
The first step towards enhancing your emotional health is to closely monitor your feelings and actions when you are happy or sad. If you are able to assess your behaviours, it means that you are moving towards the right direction.
At the end of each day, you should think about your attitude impartially and never be hesitant to admit if you behaved inappropriately. People, who are stubborn and never realise their mistakes, are unlikely to improve.
Be faithful and tackle highs and lows
If you are a faithful person, who believes in God, you will believe that everything that takes place in the world is the will of God and you must not fight destiny. Faith will actually help you deal with with the lows as well as the highs. Do not go overboard with emotions when you taste any kind of success and always be humble. You must think that your success is a result of your hard work as well as the blessing of your creator.
Similarly, you should be able to lift yourself from a low as well, thinking that it is just a test of nature and better times are on the horizon.
Avoid drugs & alcohol
Many people indulge in drugs or alcohol when they are very happy or sad. However, this must be discouraged because intoxication can lead to awkward emotional behaviours, apart from damaging your health.
Listen to motivational songs or speeches
When you are emotionally disturbed, you can enhance your morale by listening to motivational songs or speeches from inspirational people. Apart from that, you can also motivate yourself by expressing your opinion in certain ways like writing or talking to a close friend.
