Know what you want to read:
The first thing you should do is to evaluate your interests. It is very important as if you are going out of your circle then you won’t be able to keep yourself interested. However, it does not mean that you should confine yourself to just one genre of literature. Knowing your interests just helps you to select good books easily.
Make a list of related books:
Next thing you will do is to make a list of the books that are of your interest. You can seek help from different library catalogues and special edition of newspapers. There are a lot of websites that issue a list of must read books. Visit those sites regularly and you will be able to make a list of interesting books.
Join a literature club:
Joining a literature club is another effective way to find the best books to read as these clubs organise different activities including group reading which ultimately encourages every member to share their knowledge of books.
Ask your friends:
Though, it’s obvious but still it is one of the most effective methods to find worthy books. Discuss with your friends or family members what you have read and then ask them to suggest what you should read next. Exchange of books with your friends helps you to add variety in your wish list.
Is it worth reading:
Even if you got an interesting book, it is important to evaluate whether it is worth reading or not. To save time, review its table of contents as it will help you find out what topics this book has covered. Similarly, reading the first few pages will also give an idea about the writing style of the author and you can decide whether to continue reading or not.
