Freeze-dried foods are easy to store because they will not take too much space in your refrigerator and they will also last for a longer period of time than normal food.

In order to freeze-dry soups, one of the basic things you require is a freeze-drying machine. Apart from the freeze-drying machine, you will need a deep freezer and a few plastic bags which do not allow oxygen and moisture to enter the area where you are planning to dry your foods.

    Prepare the soup and store it in a deep freezer for at least a couple of days. The ideal temperature would be -40 degrees. Keep in mind that it may take more than two days for the soup to freeze completely so you may have to wait for more than a couple of days.

    Once the soup it frozen completely, the next step is to dry it. You can accomplish this by placed the frozen soup into the vacuum chamber of the freeze dryer. Approximately 98 percent liquid content of the soup will be evaporated in the vacuum chamber after you turn on the freeze dryer.
