    Prepare the soup and store it in a deep freezer for at least a couple of days. The ideal temperature would be -40 degrees. Keep in mind that it may take more than two days for the soup to freeze completely so you may have to wait for more than a couple of days.

    Once the soup it frozen completely, the next step is to dry it. You can accomplish this by placed the frozen soup into the vacuum chamber of the freeze dryer. Approximately 98 percent liquid content of the soup will be evaporated in the vacuum chamber after you turn on the freeze dryer. Most freeze dryers will indicate the completion of the process with a blinking light. However, this is not a defined rule and you may to refer to the instructions manual that came along with your model of the freeze dryer.

    In order to make sure that the freeze-dried soup lasts for a longer period of time, you will need to seal it in a plastic bag. Make sure that the plastic bag you use is oxygen and moisture proof. Also, remember to get all air out of the plastic bag before you seal the freeze-dried soup in it.
