A sweaty palm is a common problem and is known as palmar hyperhidrosis. Basically perspiration is to regulate our body temperature.     Applying scentless antiperspirant on your hands can result in reduced palm sweating. It works by blocking the sweat ducts through gel plugs that are formed when the antiperspirant reacts with electrolytes that are found in sweat. While buying an antiperspirant for your clammy hands, keep in mind to differentiate between an antiperspirant and a deodorant.

    Stress and anxiety are among the major causes of clammy hands. So if you really want to get rid of your clammy hands, avoid stress completely by taking biofeedback or any other way. Try to stay calm and relaxed to maintain your body temperature and sweat secretions.

    Alcohol helps the skin to get dried and reduces the moisture level. You should keep these wipes in your bag or pocket all the time and wipe your clammy hands with them to make them less sweaty.

    Baking soda and water:


    Baking soda is alkaline and works by reacting with the sweat, which is a base and converts it into gas which eventually evaporates. Take a bowl and fill it with water. Add some baking soda in it so that it color changes to transparent white. Now dip your hands in the solution for at least 20 minutes. Repeat this procedure daily and you’ll find your hands sweating reduced and will keep your clammy hands dry.


    Sage tea:


    Tannic acid found in sage tea, is a natural astringent and helps to reduce clamminess from hands. Put 4 to 5 sage tea bags in water and boil it. Now leave the solution to cool down and then soak your hands in it for 20 minutes. Wash your hands with soap at the end.

    Consult a doctor

    If your hand’s sweating is getting severe and none of the above remedies helps to reduce the clamminess then this is probably the sign of over functioning of sweat glands and can be treated with medicine or other clinical treatments such as Botox or surgery as per suggested by your doctor.
